Algis Griškevičius. SCENES

Sud. and artist G. Skudžinskas, published by Lithuanian Photo Artists' Union, Lithuanian Photo Artists' Union Photography Foundation, 2019.
With video on USB media – "Circus" and "Rituals".

The book "Scenes" is an overview of algis Griškevičius' photographic creation, which includes both the first works of the author and examples of the latest cycles of photographs. The book also publishes sketch drawings, according to which the artist created detailed mizanscenes and compositions of photographs. The juxtaposition of photographs and drawings becomes a reference to one of the most interesting aspects of this artist's work – interdisciplinaryism, which is not so much related to the conceptuality characteristic of contemporary art as to traditional fields of art, where craftsmanship and uniqueness of the work remain important.
