This book contains images of city panoramas, streets, squares, courtyards of the Old Town, churches, palaces and their interiors reveal to the viewer other equally interesting cognitive routes around Vilnius and its suburbs – Antakalnis, Šnipiškes, Lukiškes and Zakretas, the current Vingis Park. Photographic trips are completed with images of the most important shrine in Vilnius – the Cathedral and the nearby square.
The book contains extremely valuable photographs of the city's past, in which the photographer captures monuments, entire blocks and streets that have not been left out to this day or have been destroyed by historical events and ideological circumstances.
Today, most of the images captured in Bułhak's photos are perhaps the only and most informative witnesses of vilnius of the time, its history and visual change.
