In the book "The Goodness of Man", photographer M. Lansink and writer R. van Hulst talk about the enormous potential behind the good action made by an individual. The book was inspired by the events of The Second World War in 1940, when thousands of Jews were trapped in a stalemate in kaunas city, which was found between the ever-approaching German army and Russian forces that attacked the Baltic states. 24 July The Dutch consul in Kaunas, Jan Zwartendijk, took the personal initiative and, although he did not know any Jewish refugees, began issuing visas. This story in the book has become a starting point for talking about today's situation and everyday choices.
