Both authors are open to the world around them and ready to show the tragicomic sides of our lives. Only one discovers them in a globalized world, the other in a small provincial town. R. Vikšraitis does not soften the relationship with the recorded reality. There is no shortage of irony in the author's photographs, his works offer a sense of the reality of a declining village rather than a trial of the people who live there. Martin Parr is named the chronicler of our age. Despite the simple expression, the author penetrates deeper layers of being, showing how we actually live, how we present ourselves to society and what we value most.
