This is the Vilnius of M. Sakalauskas' generation, which has been looked at through the eyes of one person for several decades. Therefore, the author does not limit himself to any period of his active activity, but extends the artistic documentary fixation of the city's architecture until the time when hands passed the camera. ARCHITECTURE OF THE OLD VINE

The most famous 20th century Mečislovas Sakalauskas, the photographer of Vilnius architecture of the second half, presents to the public another album, which he calls a report to Vilnius, thanks to the fact that the city accepted him, allowed him to feel his own, to love the streets of the old town, to understand its architecture. The album consists of gothic, baroque and classicism ensembles chosen by the author himself, a dozen of the most impressive buildings of the historicist period and monuments of the last two decades.
