CHRONICLE OF ŠIAULIAI "DAWN" MUSEUM 1930-1939

“The pre-war history of the Aušra Museum is inextricably linked with the Šiauliai Local History Society, to which the museum was transferred in 1928. The fund of the Šiauliai Local History Society and the Aušra Museum is kept in the museum. There is one special exhibit in it - the chronicle of the Šiauliai Local History Society and the Aušra Museum. These are three thick handwritten notebooks that record the main events of the museum and the Society for 20 years (1930-1950). Written on a blog basis - the date and event are indicated. The events are only mentioned, there are no more comments. However, even these, sometimes very stingy, records paint an active picture of the museum life at that time.
The first notebook was written in 1930-1939. Relatively titled the first part of the chronicle, we publish a separate book. ” (Excerpt from the preface to the publication.)
