The book presents biography and creative works of Faustyn Łopatyńskis, who lived and worked in Vilnius in the second half of 19th century and was buried in the Rasa cemetery. Book also covers several areas of his wide artistic activity - music, photography and poetry. The artist of noble origin was among those people who, despite the dangers posed by the imperial Russian regime, nurtured the distant memory of the noble culture of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The work F. Łopatyńskis analyzed here speak of the importance of the Lithuanian theme, the revealed facts of his biography highlight his connections with many well-known figures who supported Lithuanian values.
