The book presents the 19th century. The creative biography of Faustyn Łopatyńskis, who lived and worked in Vilnius in the second half and was buried in the Rasa cemetery, including even several areas of his versatile artistic activity - music, photography and poetry. The artist of noble origin was among those intelligentsia who, despite the dangers posed by the imperial Russian regime, nurtured the smoldering memory of the noble culture of the LDK. The pages of F. Łopatyńskis' work analyzed here speak of the importance of the Lithuanian theme, the revealed facts of the biography highlight his connections with the closest environment of like-minded people, which included many well-known figures of Lithuanian culture. The work of a native of Vilnius shows his attention to the history of Lithuania and the Lithuanian language, his photographs add to the knowledge of the pioneers of this activity, and document the image of Vilnius and Lithuanian residents.
