The series of photographs in the album "Vanity" convey a slow process of deconstruction. Houses, fences, sculptures, objects and places, becoming redundant, slowly sink into oblivion, creating their own parallel reality in a lost time. Photographs of untouched places, into which Pletkus entered, are areas that have become a seamless territory of oblivion, sadness, unfulfilled dreams, in which there are neither distinctive signs nor beauty. Symbols of this landscape could be the empty windows of abandoned houses or the fences of closed factories.
