Aleksandras Ostašenkovas (b. 7 July 1951 in Šiauliai) is a Lithuanian photographer and journalist. Since 1976 Lithuanian Photoartists' Union, since 1982 Member of the Lithuanian Union of Journalists. In 1999, he won the honorary title of an artist from the International Federation of Artistic Photography. In 2004 he was recognized as photoartist of šiauliai. In 2004 and 2008, šiauliai city culture and art prize was awarded and in 2005 the status of Lithuanian art creator was awarded.

Alexander Ostašenkov's "Garden of Death" is a hard-to-say human state on the way to another dimension. That short flash of life is the cause of the photographer's observation and analysis. It is helplessness against our temporaryity, imperfection and time, the realization that life is not only a unique gift, but also a mistake that we try to improve and correct in the section we have given. But that's how we get the feeling that we didn't succeed...
