The monograph explores the interaction between memory and visual culture, analyzes the methods of memorialization and the dissemination of visuality, which are framed in the general framework of contemporary paradigms. The book discusses the transcultural field of memory research, relevant memory (re)mediation and industrialization processes. The regularities of global visual culture, the influence of cinema and other visual technologies on the expression of cultural memory are also explored. The reflections of global trends are highlighted in the socio-cultural life of Lithuania. The monograph is based on interdisciplinary research methodologies. The authors rely on the reflections of cultural anthropologists and the assumptions of visual culture studies.
